(High-energy, slightly distorted “sports” music kicks in, then fades to background)
Host 1 (Joric, energetic): “Helloooo, Khorvaire, and welcome back to KSN’s FLAMEKEEP FURY! I’m Joric Dorgan!”
Host 2 (Orryn, calm, analytical): “And I’m Orryn d’Sivis. And Joric, we are just kicking off the match we’ve all been waiting for: ‘The Flamebound’ versus the ‘Whispering Flame Patrol’ right outside the Tanner’s Street Bakery.”
Joric: “And it’s a wild start! The Captain of the patrol holds his action, but Toriman doesn’t care! He charges right in, takes a massive Whispering Flame Smite to the chest, but—what’s this?! He uses Silvery Steps to phase behind the Captain!”
Orryn: “A bold move, Joric, but it’s left him surrounded by the entire enemy team. This could be disastrous…”
Joric: “Not for Toriman! He hits a Misty Step and teleports to the rooftop! What an incredible vertical play! But he’s left Elrath all alone on the street!”
Orryn: “And Elrath responds! She raises both axes, goes into a full rage, and lets out a roar… Joric, that’s a 25 on the Intimidation check! She has frightened every single templar except the Captain! They are visibly shaking in their boots!”
Joric: “Unbelievable! While the rest of the team is locked inside the bakery by the baker, the Captain tries to focus on Elrath. But look at this! From the rooftop, Toriman with a perfect Hold Person… and the Captain fails the save! He’s paralyzed! He’s a sitting duck, Orryn!”
Orryn: “This is the moment. The bakery door explodes open and here comes the rest of the team! Sarodan is on the field! He sprints to the paralyzed Captain, draws his Shadow Blade… THAT’S A CRITICAL HIT! 45 DAMAGE!”
Joric: “HE’S WINDING UP AGAIN! HE HITS AGAIN! ANOTHER CRIT! 32 ICE DAMAGE! The Captain is frozen solid and shatters into a thousand pieces! That’s the most brutal takedown I have ever seen! Call the clean-up crew!”
Orryn: “And it’s a total rout! Took bursts out and one-shots another templar! One of the soldiers just drops his spear and surrenders! He wants no part of this!”
Joric: “But what about the priests on the roof, Orryn?!”
Orryn: “You mean the priest on the roof singular, Joric. Toriman just did a superhero landing, leaping off the roof with a critical hit from Retribution’s Edge, and that priest is… well, he’s just a fine red mist now.”
Joric: “He teleports to the last priest! Elrath throws her axe! Sarodan swoops in… and THAT’S THE BALLGAME! The Flamebound have tabled the entire patrol in just a few rounds! What a dominating performance!”
Orryn: “And now, for our post-game analysis: a fascinating moral debate over the single surrendered guard. #13 was arguing for a summary execution, but Davira and Elrath pushed for mercy.”
Joric: “In the end, it was Toriman who stepped in, forcing the guard into a magical Ceremony and sealing the deal with a NAT 20 INTIMIDATION check! The guard is released, and the skeptical baker has finally agreed to take them to see Jaela!”
Orryn: “What a match. What a finish. The Flamebound have punched their ticket to the resistance, but you have to wonder if letting that guard go will come back to haunt them.”
Joric: “We’ll find out next time on… FLAMEKEEP FURY!”
(Music swells and cuts off abruptly)
