The Mechanics (FoundryVTT Setup)

To keep the “ticking clock” feel without making it impossible for her to play, I suggest the following mechanical onset:

  • The Initial Save: Have Davira roll a DC 15 Constitution Saving Throw.

    • On a Failure: She gains the Poisoned condition (Disadvantage on Attack rolls and Ability checks) and takes 7 (2d6) necrotic damage.

    • On a Success: She is not poisoned, but she takes the 7 (2d6) necrotic damage as her body fights off the infection.

  • The Ticking Clock (During Combat):

    • At the start of each of her turns, Davira takes 3 (1d6) necrotic damage.

    • Concentration: This damage triggers a Concentration check (DC 10). This represents the struggle of keeping her magic stable while her blood is literally being corrupted.
