As a player, what’s one strength you bring to the table?
Expectations
DM
New DM, lots of learning
I feel this is a safe space which is really comforting
Let’s try things and adapt as we go, not be afraid to change rulings etc.
Story > Rules
If I rule a certain way, feel free to question it. If I acknowledge it and choose to ignore, let’s not argue.
My preference = Don’t ask for rolls, don’t roll unless asked. Focus on the story and narrative, tell us what you’re doing, not what you want to roll.
If you don’t want to RP the Intimidation (e.g.), that’s OK, just state it to me.
Cooperative storytelling
We’re creating a story TOGETHER. At times I might ask you to describe an NPC, a location, etc. You can always pass.

Player
What are some things you want to see/explore? No guarantees, but I can try to bring some things in.
Any expectations you have on the group, game, DM that you’d want to mention?

Theme and Tone
Discuss the overarching theme of moral ambiguity, political intrigue, and the exploration of divine mysteries. Emphasize that player choices will significantly impact the narrative, and the campaign will delve into complex moral dilemmas. Ensure that players are comfortable with a campaign that combines elements of mystery, exploration, and shades of gray morality.
